Join a wildlife ranger to learn all about the wildlife of the Scottish borders woodlands on a wander through a community woodland.<\/p>
This one hour guided woodland nature walk gives you a great opportunity to enjoy the birdsong and identifying some of the many species that live in the wood, including woodpeckers and sparrowhawks.<\/p>

Getting out in nature is the most beneficial thing we can do for ourselves - good for our physical and mental well-being. <\/p>
The rambles are quite informal, giving people the chance to enjoy being in nature while also being guided by our ranger, who will take you to the best places to see wildlife and be on hand to answer any questions you may have. <\/p>
You'll visit the bird hide and pond, spending time watching the birds and other animals while also learning about the species that visit.<\/p>
Whether you are a nature lover or just want to spend time outdoors, wildlife ranger Lisa will help you make the most of your visit to the woods and make sure you notice even the tiniest creatures.<\/p>
We meet at the entrance to Mauldsheugh Wood in Selkirk. Mauldsheugh is our own community wildlife project, where we have been improving the habitat to make it home to a wider range of wildlife.<\/p>
We run our nature walks to give more people a chance to enjoy the wildlife of southern Scotland and to help cover the cost of our community nature and wildlife projects. All profits go back into the community interest company to enable us to continue to operate Mauldsheugh Wood, along with nature clubs, school visits and collaborations with other community
